For several years our municipality has been involved in European projects funded by the Erasmus + program that allows many young people to have training experiences in EU countries. Hundreds of young people left for different types of initiatives: international exchanges of a week up to European volunteering of many months mainly inserted in the cultural and socio-educational sector.
But how does a European project born? What steps need to be taken for a quality organization? How con we obtain a funding from the European Union for our project? The students of the 3B of the Liceo Tecnologico "Cartesio" have decided to spend some of their Alternating School-Work hours to discover this professional figure: the Euro-projector. The course was held by the specialized and qualified in Europlanning youth worker Elisa Scardoni.
The course is divided into two main phases: 10 hours of training, during which there is an introduction on the functioning of the European institutions, the Erasmus+ Program and the project cycle. At the base, the use of non-formal education techniques such as games, brainstorming and group activities, with a totally interactive approach.
In the remaining 50 hours, the students will work on the drafting of an International Exchange project, which will be submitted to the National Youth Agency within the deadline of April 24.
If the project submitted by the young students is approved, the path of alternation will be able to continue the following year with the participation of the same guys to the realization of the Exchange, supported by the operators of the Office.
The twelve students involved have already defined in these first three days of work the themes on which they will develop their projects. The decision-making process wasn’t complicated, because the students based it on their interests, their passions, their desire to deepen.
At the same time, they are discovering all the possibilities and potentials of non-formal education, with activities that involve them personally in a dynamic way and that allow them to learn effectively.
