During April and May, Cinisello Balsamo’s Eurodesk Agency took an active part in the Walk the Talk campaign on the June 2024 European Elections co-funded by the European Union.
Walk the Talk is the result of the collaboration of an international consortium for the EU project inFORM - Young Voters, funded by the European Parliament. The European Youth Information and Advice Agency (ERYICA), committed to ensuring young people’s right to comprehensive and reliable information, serves as the coordinating partner for the 11 countries involved.
The goal of the campaign was to encourage and increase the informed participation of young voters in European elections, particularly by involving those voting for the first time.
The first action was to train fifteen young ambassadors to meet young people, combat misinformation and disinterest in the issue itself, with detailed explanations regarding the functions, roles and bodies of the European Union and listen to all their doubts or concerns about it.
As far as Italy is concerned, three ambassadors were trained, including Samuele Luè, a former civil service volunteer, who together with the Eurodesk Agency of the City of Cinisello Balsamo met with high school youth to spread as much information as possible and get to the goal.
The campaign website "walkthetalk.eu" is simple, clear and intuitive precisely to facilitate knowledge and understanding of how the European Parliament works, the European institutions, who runs for office and why the EU matters. It not only informs, but also allows you to compare political parties based on 9 priorities, including climate change, affordable housing, human rights, fair economy and others.

Alice Giglia, a former civil service volunteer in our office, also wrote an article about it in "Strategie Amministrative" the news and commentary periodical for local government administrators of Anci Lombardia. On page 50 you will find the entire article:
