The Eurodesk agency of the Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo, together with Samuele, ambassador of the Walk the Talk campaign, built a real PCTO (Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation) of the total duration of 3 weeks with a class of IV high school of the ITI LSA Cartesio Institute of Cinisello Balsamo.
The first activity carried out was a game to get to know each other better, break the ice and understand how much the kids knew about Europe. Then we moved on to the more theoretical part: we explained to them how the European institutions work, what the priorities are, and what the parties are, trying as much as possible to make the kids aware of the importance of voting.
In the second part of the meeting, we reflected together on what European issues and priorities the boys cared about, and in a more practical way, on the basis of the discussion we created a campaign to raise awareness of voting.
The boys, through the use of graphic design tools such as Canva, created an informational poster about the elections and flyers containing their reasons for going to the polls.
In subsequent meetings, the boys continued to work on the graphic campaign and, through a world café discovered all the European mobility opportunities that affect their age group.
The week of the election, flyers were distributed within the institute and throughout the Cinisello Balsamo area, particularly at the cultural center "Pertini".
In addition, a meeting was also organized with all the representatives of the fifth grade classes of Liceo Casiraghi in Cinisello Balsamo to raise awareness of the Walk the Talk campaign and sensitize them to vote.
It was interesting to address the topic of voting since, as representatives of their classes, they were elected and voted in, and they brought interesting reflections on their role and the dynamics created in the classrooms and in general throughout the school.
