The first coordination meeting of the project "Didactic Mine - The Didactic Mine of Youth Work" was held in Serbia on Thursday, June 9 and Friday, June 10, 2022. The project aims to remodel current structures by promoting a more inclusive and sustainable economic model with the introduction of renewed approaches such as entrepreneurial education. In addition, the project aims to provide new tools for youth work organizations to work with their target groups in the field of social entrepreneurship.
The kick-off meeting was attended by all members of the partnership: TDM2000 (Project Leader), the Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo, NGO IUVENTA (Serbia) Corbiz (Turkey) IED (Greece) Intercultura (France) and Media Creativa (Spain). The project received a fund of over 200.000 euros from the KA2 (Key Action 2) program of Erasmus+|Youth (Partnerships for Cooperation in the Youth Sector). As is well known, the Erasmus program "KA220-YOU - Cooperation partnerships in youth" supports precisely Partnership projects that offer participating organizations the opportunity to gain experience in international cooperation and strengthen their capacities, while producing innovative results of high quality.
During the kickoff meeting, the lead partner renewed the specific objectives of Didactic Mine, which are:
Provide tools to guide youth workers and students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset;
Increase awareness of each individual’s role in acting for sustainable development;
Support capacity building and collaborative partnerships in youth NGOs;
Accompany young people in the transition from youth life to adulthood, promoting social and economic inclusion for all.
As a result of the project, two important tools will be produced by summer 2023 and made available to all those working in the youth sector:
1- E-book containing 30 educational activities on entrepreneurial education and social entrepreneurship.
The resource is aimed at 3 different target groups:
a. children between 6 and 11 years old
b. teenagers between 12 and 17 years old
c. young NEETs between the ages of 18 and 30.
2- Interactive game on social entrepreneurship and the SDGs.
The game will consist of cards with problems and solutions related to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The goal is to make connections between problems and solutions to show how a synergistic action of solutions can help address the problem. The aim is to empower young people to be agents of change through entrepreneurial (social) ideas.
During the life of the project, from September 2022 to February 2024, there will also be a training session in France (LTTA C1) on how to use the two project outcomes (e-book and game) and 14 Multiplier events (two for each partner) where the two tools will be officially presented.
In the following sessions of the kick-off meeting, the partners discussed aspects related to the implementation, management and monitoring of the activities that will be developed in the coming months, establishing their respective responsibilities.
