Would you like to live a volunteering experience working with an Istitute focused on people with disabilities?
You have the chance to work with Perspektivy, based in Saint Petersburg, on different topics, such as disability, inclusion, awarness and education, thanks to the European Solidarity Corps.
The main objective is to to break down barriers towards people with disabilities.

The daily duties of volunteers include: hygienic care; assistance in classes; walks; assistance with making purchases; accompanying in trips. Volunteers work together with the teacher: setting goals for the residents, conducting classes and walks, participate in carrying out an individual support program (ISP) and help in carrying-out the program (movement skills, independent living skills, understanding the world and themselves, speech etc.), help with feeding and hygiene, organization of free time for wards.
The volunteer will be always supported by the qualified staff of the centre.

The criteria for selection was:
 strong initiative
 motivation to work with disabled people
 openness for different cultures
 motivation to work in a international team
 willingness to learn and do youth work
 patience and initiative

It will be offered room and board (The volunteer is accommodated in a flat with others volunteers) and will receive a monthly pocket money.
The volunteer will have the possibility to attend a language courses (online and with a teacher).
