Celeste has left for her first volunteer experience abroad in Caen, France, and before she left, she wanted to share with us the reasons that motivated her to embark on this adventure:
“Hello everyone!
I’m Celeste, and I’m 19 years old.
I graduated in June from the Classical High School. A year ago, in September of my final year, I started to develop the idea of going abroad to do a volunteer experience. Having been a scout for 11 years, I had already had many experiences like this that remained close to my heart.
So I decided that after finishing high school, a path that was very difficult for me, I wanted to take a year for myself, but without just sitting idle.
I felt the need to have a new experience, see new places, and who knows, maybe even discover other parts of myself.
So at the end of September 2024, I will leave for Normandy to participate in a project in the kindergartens and elementary schools of Amfreville, near Caen.
I can’t wait to discover realities different from my daily life.”
