S.M.A.R.T. (Supporting Mobility Activities Running through Tech, is a 24-months Strategic Partnership funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.

The project aims at deveoping the Digital Youth Work (DYW).
More specifically, the objectives to be achieved are:
Digital Skills Development: supporting and empowering youth workers to develop their digital skills, including digital pedagogical skills in e-learning and blended and distance learning.
Innovation in the learning process: provide opportunities to innovate and use alternative means to continue educating and training youth, thus addressing one of the challenges that arose with the COVID 19 pandemic.
Inclusivity in learning opportunities: to promote learning materials and procedures that can be accessed for free by all (Open Educational Resources).
Digitization Progress: improve Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure and connectivity in youth centers.
The project focuses on the role of Youth Workers. Participants will be those:
Who wish to develop their digital skills on DYW;
With no or little experience on DYW;
With some experience in implementing youth activities.
Horizontal: Address digital transformation through the development of digital readiness, resilience, and capacity.
Additional: Increase the quality, innovation, and recognition of Youth Work.
The following Project Outputs are expected and will be the focus of planned activities over the next 24 months:
PR1 – MOOCs: the development of Mass Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for youth workers, which will subsequently be available on the free Greek platform CEREBRUM.
PR2 - VR Environment: the development of a virtual reality platform for the implementation of digital activities for youth workers. To conclude, a simulation of a youth center that aims to bridge the digital divide and complement the work of real centers.
PR3 - Pilot Application: participants will implement their activities on the pilot application of the VR platform.
PR4 - Digital Toolbox: creation of a Digital Toolbox for educators and youth workers to function as a "learning tank". It will be easily accessible and free of charge. It will contain tools, methods and techniques for youth workers and educators to use in a digital environment.

On March 29th and 30th the first transnational meeting of the SMART Youth Center project, funded in 2021 by the Erasmus+ Programme - Key Action 2, took place in Athens.
