On 24 and 25 November, we were hosted in Langon, France to participate in the final actions of the Volem project. A European project financed by the Erasmus+ Programme whose main theme is volunteering.
The objective is to strengthen the recognition of skills acquired by young people during voluntary activities, enhancing their impact both on local development and on their entry into the world of work.
On Friday 25 November, we took part in the project’s final conference, which was held in the cultural centre of Langon, the city where the French partner Cap Solidaire is based. It was an opportunity to present Volem to young people, volunteers, youth workers and youth association operators.
French Senator Laurence also spoke at the conference, encouraging young people to experience volunteering and reminding them how important it is for their future.
During the meeting, together with the project partners, we presented all the final products created during the last three years of work, and tested with those present some of these such as Voluntaboo, one of the games in the toolkit aimed at promoting volunteering and the skills acquired through it.
