The European Projects Department was born from the administration’s desire to boost the participation of the institution in European, national and regional programs for the development and growth of the territory. The office embodies the skills gained over several years of work not only at the European level but also at national, regional and supra-territorial level. The activities and actions mainly concern: European funds and project management, active European citizenship, cooperation with other local and territorial bodies on European themes and funds, partnerships, international networking, fundraising / sponsorship of innovation and development projects.
The objectives assigned to the structure are therefore developed on three levels of work:
Maintaining and implementing international relationships, networks and partnerships, aimed at participating in European funding programs of interest to the Municipality. In this sense, it coordinates the activities of the Authority relating to sectoral projects financed through structural funds and directly managed. Follows the entire life cycle of the project: monitoring of information on European calls and programs, construction of the application dossier and budget, partner search, management and reporting of funded projects, dissemination of results, promotion of international stakeholder mobility (citizens and / or organizations) through the Eurodesk service; the management of at least one European project on direct and / or structural funds ..
Identifying strategies and resources to encourage development and innovation in the area, through access to national and regional opportunities. Supporting the institution’s sectors in the design in response to calls, notices and expressions of interest. The activity is carried out through the support for the entire life cycle of the project: monitoring information on complex calls and programs (large and supra-territorial networks, important funding) construction of the candidacy and budget, definition of partnerships in accordance with the strategic indications , partner search, management and reporting of funded projects, dissemination of results; identification and training of municipal staff (analysis of knowledge / skills needs); the management of complex projects on national and / or regional calls from different providers.
Coordinating fundraising strategies to support complex projects carried out by service sectors and / or the office. The definition of a shared strategy in fundraising for the administration through the tools available in the current regulatory framework (sponsorships, agreements, etc.)
