Start Up your Ciny!

Name and description of the project: "Start Up your Ciny- Young people active on the territory" is a project that aims to promote cultural entrepreneurship, stimulate active citizenship and create new opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Duration, funding and partnership: The project funded by Regione Lombardia, through the call "La Lombardia è dei Giovani 2024", has a duration of 12 months, from October 2024 to September 2025. The project involves the Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo as a leader in collaboration with Magma srl social enterprise, the private entity Fondazione Mazzini and the association Vi.be - Musica e Cultura A.P.S. -E.T.S.

Specific objectives:

1. Promote training and orientation opportunities offered by the Administration and services of the territory;
2. Involve young people between 15 and 34 in the new training course proposed by the administration and project partners through the expression of interest;
3. Develop transversal and specific competences, in particular those related to the cultural and creative sector, through non-formal education methods, among young people in order to ensure their full training on the above-mentioned topics;
4. Support young people interested in starting up cultural and creative start-ups or businesses. ;
5. Promote the active participation of young people in the area, the project aims to activate young people by encouraging them to organize activities and events aimed at their peers and all citizens;
6. Strengthening the territorial network in order to promote innovation and development, increase the skills of youth workers, spread a culture of co-responsibility in promoting policies for young people.

Planned activities:

1. Action 1 "STARTUP - LEARNING WEEK": launch of the event on social media with the objective of selecting 25 young people between 15 and 34 years old who will be involved in a path to develop transversal and specific skills for creation, management or employment of cultural and creative enterprises
2. Action 2 "START UP YOUR CITY": the provision of two distinct and complementary paths that will be carried out in parallel and followed by two different project partners: 1. Magma srl cultural enterprise that will take care of the management of the route on the mamagement of cultural enterprises; 2. Vi.be will pass on to the children all the knowledge necessary for managing artistic and creative products.
3. Action 3 "AttiviamoCINY": Those who have participated in the training course "Startup your City" will be given the opportunity to develop an activity or an event on the territory with the support of the municipal administration.

Final products:

1. Provision of 2 training courses;
2. Develop a local activity or event;
3. The birth of at least one cultural and creative enterprise.
