Name and description of the project:
Youth Monitor. Local and Regional Public Policy Monitor for Youth
The project aims to create a support mechanism for defining and making policy decisions related to youth public policy investments and implementations in various territories.
It emphasizes the importance of understanding the diverse youth populations in these territories to develop more targeted interventions and projects.

Duration, programme, funding (Cerv or Erasmus+) and partnership

The partnership includes:

Área Metropolitana do Porto (AMP), which comprises 17 municipalities in the most prominent sub-region of Northern Portugal
APPJuventude, an organization aiming to value and promote the role of youth workers in Portugal,
Diputació de Barcelona, a local government association in Catalonia, encompassing 311 municipalities
Municipality of Radmnicu Sarat, in Romania
Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo
University for Continuing Education of Krems

Specific objects of the project:

Promote local and regional territorial cohesion in youth public policies.
Ensure the functioning of the "social elevator" and reduce inequalities in young people’s access to opportunities.
Create a monitor for youth public policies in the involved territories.
Provide up-to-date information on youth public policies, their practices,
and impacts.
Empower young people, professionals, policymakers, and civil society
entities in using this tool.
Identify projects proposed by young people and stimulate local and
regional investments in solutions presented by young people.

Final results
The project will result in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of the "Local and Regional Youth Public Policy Monitor." This monitor will serve as an essential mechanism for policymakers, with active youth participation, promoting social mobility and positive discrimination among rural and urban youth, ensuring equitable access to opportunities.

International conference in Porto

Youth Monitor Final Meeting

The final meeting of the European Youth Monitor project was held in Porto from 22 to 25 June, where we met with the other participating partners to assess the results it had on each territory.

Transnational Meeting in Râmnicu Sărat for the Youth Monitor Project

From March 24th to 27th, we participated in the fifth international meeting of the Youth Monitor project, hosted by the Municipality of Râmnicu Sărat, a project partner. During this mobility, we had the opportunity to work intensively on the project's activities, finalizing the last steps and setting up the platform where all related activities and materials will be uploaded.

Between 9th and 12th December, thanks to the Monitor project, we were at the University of Krems in Austria.

Between the 13th and the 15th May, there was the second transanational meeting for the project Youth Monitor.

Study Visit in Barcellona for the project Youth Monitor

Between 16th and 19th April 2024, we were in Barcelona for the study visit of the European Youth Monitor project.

Kick-Off meeting Youth Monitor project

On the 25th September 2023, the kick-off meeting of "Youth Monitor - Local and Regional Public Policy Monitor for Youth," a project whose main theme is youth policy development, was held online.
