Name and description of the project:
THRIVE - You(th) can THRIVE! Enhancing adaptability, resilience and learnability skills in young employees.
THRIVE’s main goal is to develop and enhance resilience, adaptability and learnability skills of young employees in the workplace, especially those with fewer opportunities and other obstacles such as mental or physical health dissiculties, mobility or financial difficulties.
Duration, programme, funding (Cerv or Erasmus+) and partnership: The project will last one year, it started in May 2023 and it ends in Italy in May 2024; is funded by the European Commission by the program Erasmus+, the Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo is involved as a partner together with the lead organization from Cyprus "KOKEN".
Specific objectives of the project: the specific objectives of the projects are:
1. Raising awareness on the impact of poor resilience, adaptability and learnability skills on job satisfaction, quality of work, mental and physical health and identifying when and how to implement effectively these three core skills.
2. Developing and sustaining work-life balance.
3. Developing and enhancing resilience adaptability and learnability skills of young employees.
4. Improving the capacity of partner organizations to work on a European level and developing new networks (learn from each other).
5. Increasing the chance of sustaining employment hence lowering the level of unemployment in all partner countries.
6. To enhance the use of non-formal methods to build on young employees’ soft skills.
Project Activities: In the coming months the following activities will be developed:
• Transnationals Coordination meetings among the partner organizations: the first kick off meeting was held in Cyprus in June hosted by the KOKEN organization, while the subsequent meetings will be held online. Instead, the final meeting will take place in Italy, in may 2024.
• An E-Campaign ’Thrive at Work’ which will consist in the creation of an online campaign and a website lead by Koken organization , freely available and accessible to everyone, with tips/guidance and resources associated with the development of resilience, adaptability and learnability skills and how to maintain a healthy life-work balance. The E-Campaign will also include the creation of an animated promotional video and both partner organisations (KOKEN and Cinisello Balsamo) will create posts on their respective social media platforms to disseminate information about the project.
• Databased Research and Context Analyses to identify the personal and professional needs of young employees in relation to their work progress and development.
• A Focus Group to be organized locally by each partner organization with the aim of creating a moment of discussion on mental health promotion in youth, gaining insights on recognizing mental health issues and enhancing their resilience, adaptability and learnability skills.
The focus group will consist of four youth employees (18-30), four employers from any work sector, one well-being educator and one Organisational Psychologist. The results of the Focus Group will provide insights and content for the development of Project Outcomes, which correspond to the creation of the
Two online "How-To" kits. One kit will be designed for employers, while the other will target young employees.
• Each implementing country will create one-day training on the ’How to’ kits, to whom 50 partecipants per country will be invited. A variety Dissemination and Exploitation of Results activities will be implemented locally, nationally and on a European level to promote the results of the ‘THRIVE’ project.
Final products:
• Online Learning Platform (part of THRIVE at Work’ online campaign)
• How To’ kits (one for employers and one for young employees)
• An e-campaign providing awareness on work burn-out, ways of thriving at work, how to create non-toxic work environments and ways of enhancing resilience, adaptability and learnability skills in young employees.

On 21st May the final event of the european project You(th) Can Thrive - Enhancing adaptability, resilience and learnability skills in young employees took place in Villa Ghirlanda, Cinisello Balsamo.
