Hello World!

Name and description of the project: "Hello World" aims to engage young people on current issues that affect their future to amplify their voices and strengthen participants’ digital and emotional literacy by addressing misinformation and discussing multimedia ethics and issues there active citizenship. Boys and girls will be guided to create a series of podcasts in english on their chosen topics.

Duration, programme, funding (Cerv or Erasmus+) and partnership: This project has a duration of two years, from March 2022 to March 2024, and was funded by Erasmus+ - Small Scale Partnership in Youth (Key Action 2). The Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo is involved together with the Danish organization ARTTRAIN (Lead Partner), the Finnish organization Helsinki Pioneers, Klaipeda Children’s Recreation Center (Lithuania), Dr Mete Ersoy High School (Turkiye) and the Swedish association Songlines Vanner.

Specific objectives of the project: The specific objectives of Hello World are:

• To produce a series of podcasts created by young people that can be used as a start for other discussions and researches and can be spreaded on multiple platforms.
• Support small groups and local communities to encourage meetings, discussions and ensure safe spaces for young people to express themselves;
• To provide young people from different countries involved with multimedia training by experts to create a wider network and an inclusive community for all participants.

Project Activities:

• Mobility in Kuru, Finland, where participants will receive training on sound recording, interview techniques and podcast performance.
• The creation of a podcast of ten episodes on themes of active citizenship chosen by young people.
• Monthly online meetings to exchange ideas and cues in order to record podcasts

Final Product: ten self-produced podcasts
