Cityful

Name and description of the project: CITYFUL is a project addressing in particular the target group of young Europeans NEET, which stands for Not in Employment, in Education or Training, i.e. those people not engaged in work, study or training. To these needs CITYFUL intends to offer an answer through the game, an effective tool for those who have lost confidence in formal learning, and the Third Sector, showing its resources and opportunities to all those young people who erroneously consider it a less satisfying horizon than the world of "for-profit" work.

Duration, programme, funding (Cerv or Erasmus+) and partnership: The project has a two-year duration, from February 2022 to February 2024, and has received funding of over 200,000 euros from the Erasmus+ - Capacity Building in the Field of Youth (Key Action 2) programme. The Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo is involved as lead partner, in cooperation with the social enterprise Itinerari Paralleli (Italy), the association Nordic European Mobility (Sweden), the network Co-Actions (France) and the incubator Trokut Sibenik (Croatia).

Specific objectives of the project: The specific objectives of CITYFUL are :
 to promote the role of youth workers as mediators between young people’s needs and the opportunities offered by the local Third Sector for civic engagement and employment;
 to provide youth workers with new digital tools and resources useful for the involvement of NEETs and young people who have dropped out of school;
 to create new opportunities for young people (especially NEETs and school drop-outs) for civic activation and skills development, in order to turn them into ’young city-change-makers
 to promote the role of the Third Sector among young people, particularly as a space for personal and professional growth.

Project Activities: The main activities consist of:
 Coordination meetings between the partners, hosted in Cinisello Balsamo.
 The creation of an interactive digital game, "Cityful": in an imaginary city, participants will be called to face certain challenges, networking and optimising the existing resources represented by Third Sector organisations and professionals. The details of the game will be defined through co-design sessions (both online and in-presence, hosted in turn by each partner country).
 The design of an Online Training Course aimed at transferring theoretical and experiential skills to a selected pool of European youth sector professionals. The training will be dedicated to deepening the dynamics of the Third Sector functioning and the new approaches of social entrepreneurship
 A learning workshop open to young people and youth workers will be hosted in Italy. Participants will be involved in perfecting the "Cityful" game and knowledge of the Third Sector will be promoted.
 Peer-to-peer educational workshops: once back in their home countries, the Learning Activity participants will be asked to promote the Cityful game in their cities, schools and youth services.
 Project promotion events in all participating countries.
