Informazione: to be part, take part

Name and description of the project: InFormAzione aims to increase the active participation of young people in the North Milan area, on the one hand by providing space for creativity and artistic and cultural expression, and on the other hand by enhancing and promoting the launch of services facilitating access to information and opportunities addressed to them at local, regional and European level. Through the ’Lombardy is for Young People 2021’ announcement , the Lombardy Region has financed the new project promoted by the Europe, Projects and Foundraisng Office "Information: To be part, take part!"

Duration, programme, funding (Cerv or Erasmus+) and partnership: "Informazione: To be part, take part!" is a 12-month project, from October 2021 to October 2022, involving the Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo in the role of leader, together with the Municipalities of Bresso, Cormano and Cusano Milanino and the youth association Xsquì.

Specific objectives:

1. To improve and extend territorially the information, promotion and guidance service for transnational educational mobility (Eurodesk), in order to facilitate access to information for a greater number of young people.
2. To promote the active participation of young people in the area, by enhancing youth creativity and initiative and facilitating access to learning opportunities abroad.
3. To develop the competences and skills of youth workers and administrators involved in the implementation of youth policies, contextualising them in a European and quality framework.
4. Systematise the resources and competences of the project partner municipalities, laying the foundations for a long-term collaboration between administrations and associations in North Milan.

Project Activities:

1. Action "Informagiovani 4.0": opening of 3 Eurodesk information desks (in the municipalities of Bresso, Cormano and Cusano Milanino) on the territory.
2. Action "Informagiovani 4.0": 5 training sessions for new Eurodesk operators of the three open points and
3. Action "To be part, take part!": Call to Action (one in each Municipality) addressed to young people in the area (age 18-30, in groups of at least 5 people). Each municipality will select one of the ideas submitted. The winning groups will be able to develop their idea and submit it for funding.
4. Action "To be part, take part!": Call for Mentors to identify 4 expert designers (aged 25-34) who can accompany the groups of participants in the development of ideas and their presentation.
5. Action "To be part, take part!": North Milan Tool Fair: showcase of projects active in the area, where the ideas developed during the course will be presented.

Final products:

1. Creation of a north-Milan network.
2. Opening of new Eurodesk desks in the Bresso, Cormano and Cusano Milanino areas.
3. Support to at least 4 business ideas of young people in the area.
