The “Empower Youth Workers With Digital Tools And AI” took place from 20th to 25th of July, during which 5 young people from 5 different countries (Italy, Greece, Ucraine, Hungary, Romania) participated in an intercultural exchange in Viseu, Portugal.
The theme of the project was artificial intelligence, we discussed on how important it is now in our lives. The goal of the project was to learn about new AI tools, understanding their operation and usefulness and discussing together their impact in our everyday life.
We asked the guys to share their feedback about this experience with us and here are their thoughts:
Mohamed:
’it was a very positive experience. Sharing time with people who did not speak our language pushed us to use English more naturally, improving communication and safety. Even though the project was short, in just five days, it was still useful for discussing, learning about new cultures and getting out of our comfort zone.
Portugal struck us with the warmth of the people and the thrill of seeing the ocean for the first time. A little personal detail: the local cuisine was quite intense for our tastes, but it’s part of the beauty of discovering something different.
Andrea:
The experience in Portugal was truly intense and enriching. I enjoyed getting to know people from different countries and working together on the topic of AI. I really appreciated the climate of collaboration and the synergy born between people from different countries and I loved the intercultural evening. I bring home new ideas, new friendships and many beautiful memories.

Veronica:
This experience was a way to practice the English language and to be in contact with people of different cultures. Through the intercultural evening we had the opportunity to get to know each other and “discover each other” thanks to good food and beautiful music. Activities on the subject of AI were extremely useful for me to learn about tools that I was not aware of. We also had the opportunity to interact with each other on a daily basis through dynamic exercises and group work.
Gaia:
This experience enriched me a lot from a human point of view, I had the opportunity to learn about cultures different from mine and it was special. I will always take the people I met with me on this journey
Alice:
Participating in the youth exchange in Portugal was an experience that I will always carry with me. I had the opportunity to get to know people from all over the world, engage with different cultures and grow both personally and socially. The energy, sharing and moments spent together made this exchange something truly special!
