From March 24th to 27th, we participated in the fifth international meeting of the Youth Monitor project, hosted by the Municipality of Râmnicu Sărat, a project partner. During this mobility, we had the opportunity to work intensively on the project’s activities, finalizing the last steps and setting up the platform where all related activities and materials will be uploaded.
March 26th was a particularly interesting and interactive day. We explored several local realities and discovered how youth policies are organized in Râmnicu Sărat. The morning began with a meeting with the mayor and his team, followed by a visit to a municipal space dedicated to young people and Europe Direct. Afterwards, we participated in a workshop with local teachers and youth, aiming to find solutions to improve dialogue between institutions and young people.
In the afternoon, we visited the city’s cultural center, a place offering free courses and activities for young people, funded by the European Union. Additionally, we had the opportunity to see a farm located on the outskirts of Râmnicu Sărat, founded in 2009 and entirely built thanks to European funding.
To conclude the day in a special way, we were hosted by the local TV station, where we spoke about the Youth Monitor project and the activities that will take place in the coming months, helping to spread awareness of this important project.
