“Museo Facile da Leggere” received a special mention from the prestigious jury of Eurodesk Awards: a contest that rewards the most inclusive and impactful projects promoted by Eurodesk local points all over Europe, that saw the application of 50 proposals from 15 different countries.
The Jury is composed of da Sabine Verheyen (member of the European Parliament), Mathieu Orphanides (as a representative of the European Commission), Ingrida Jotkaite (president of Eurodesk), Katarina Milovic (member of the European Youth Press) e Tajana Mohnacki (vice-president of Erasmus Student Network).
The Eurodesk Awards were established in 2011 to celebrate the day-to-day work of Eurodesk’s local multipliers, who are helping young people discover and seize the numerous opportunities offered by Europe.
In 2020 Eurodesk Awards’ format was updated in order to reflect youth information operators’ reality in Europe and to celebrate original ways to inform, connect and engage young people.
Among 50 projects, an external jury selected three winners and a prize was given to Eurodesk’s favourite project:
- Most creative information project: using engaging or innovative methods, funny activities and games to inform young people.
- Most inclusive information project: reaching young people with less opportunities and connecting with local communities.
- Most empowering information project: projects led by young people that use peer-to-peer approaches to make young people feel responsible as creators/suppliers of information.
- Eurodesk Network Award: the award of the community, selected by national Eurodesk’s coordinators and rewarded for the most stimulating project among those presented.
Even in 2020, Italy was a protagonist at the Eurodesk Awards. It participated with the highest number of contributions, obtaining identification in the category "MOST INCLUSIVE INFORMATION PROJECT" with the project PERGIOVE! SUBURBS, YOUTH, VOLUNTEERING, EUROPE from Turin Eurodesk Local Point, operating at the Vol.To Service Desk, and two mentions at Eurodesk Local Points - Andria (Associazione Peucetia) and ours!
